Most people have at least one or two close friends with whom they exchange gifts throughout the year. Whether the gift is given for a holiday, for a birthday, or some other special occasion, choosing the right gift for a friend can be a fun experience.  You imagine your friend opening the gift and anticipate seeing their delight when they see what you bought for them.  Here are some things that you can do in order to help you to choose the right gift for your friend and make the occasion even more special.

• Occasion - The first thing that you want to think about is the occasion. There are different gifts that you are going to buy someone for different occasions, so choose a gift that is going to be appropriate for the occasion for which you are buying the gift. Is It a graduation, a birthday, a religious occasion? Knowing and thinking about the occasion is going to help you choose the perfect gift for the person.

• Likes and Hobbies - The second thing that you want to think about is your friend's likes and hobbies. What does your friend like to do in their spare time? What do they do to relax? • Friendship - The third thing to consider is your friendship. How close are you? How long have you been friends? Is there something special that you have done together that has a special memory for the two of you? • Budget - Finally, you want to think about your budget. Sometimes friends put a cap on what they spend on their gifts so that there isn't a misunderstanding. So think about the budget that you have and what you can afford, and that will help you with choosing the gift for your friend.
